Because back in the french revolution they were in dept now today we are in dept. So its saying how we are both down in the whole with money.
On July 14, people gather in big cities or in front of the city hall to watch fireworks. This is a vacation day and so, nobody works. Actually, except for the fireworks, the French Revolution is just a great event which occurred a long time ago. This is no longer important for the French to know what happens. On July 14, only the fireworks and the gatherings matter to us (I'm French so...)
The French Revolution allowed for the debut of the modern French consciousness, the idea of universal human dignity and liberty in Europe. This changed the mental landscape quite drastically in Europe and was directly responsible for the rise in Romanticism, Nationalism, and Democratic Revolutions in Europe. In terms of concrete benefits, the French Revolution immediately gave rise to the First Republic of France and the First French Empire under Napoleon Bonaparte. The French Empire conquered or made vassals of nearly every country in Europe from Lithuania to Portugal. The Revolution inspired a plethora of writers such as Dumas and Voltaire, giving them insight into the human condition.
So they can have peace.

the french care so much about the revolution because it made a massive impact on, not just France, but Europe! if the revolution had not happened, France and possibly even the rest of Europe would not be what it is today. France might still have estates, kings and bad execution habits but because of this revolution, people all around Europe started to realise what France had become. i hope this answer is helpful :)

The French Revolution happened during 1789-1799 and the American Revolution happened during 1775-1783. So the French Revolution happened before the American Revolution.
The French Revolution started in 1789 and ended in 1799, so it was about ten years.
