Camels are adapted to the desert, and can go for many days without water. They were ideal for a pack animal because they don't require any kind of hydrocarbon fuel and have big feet as not to sink into the sand. I've never touched a camel before but I bet they're really fluffy. There is one at a nearby zoo and it's coat sheds a lot during the summer. Llamas are really nice and soft. I've never been spit at by one but i bet it isn't very nice. They also had baby llamas and they were really scared of you. We used to pick bark out of a tree and the llamas would munch on it. I wanted to try the bark but its wood. I don't eat wood. Camels might eat wood though, I wonder if they would've liked that bark too. Oh yeah, at the farm I was at with the llamas they also had these really cute little goats that would roll over and be paralyzed when they're scared. It was hard to scare them though. I heard that they do that when in danger because if they saw a wolf or something the wolf would go after the paralyzed goat instead of the sheep it was guarding. Speaking of farmers, I want to have a garden in my backyard so during the next apocalypse I can have a reliable source of food.
