The plague
London was a major port at the time of the Great Plague of 1665. Rats would come off of the ships visiting London and those rats carried fleas which started the Plague. The Great Fire of London the following year, killed all the rats and put an end to the Plague.
The influenza (spanish flu) virus killed a simliar amount of people after World War I, but far fewer as a proportion of the population. The Black Death was the worst biological plague in the history of mankind.
There were several outbreaks of plague in the empire of which the most famous was the Antonin Plague which occurred during Marcus Aurelius. While fighting in the east, Marcus' army picked up the plague and carried is back to the west. The terrible decease had a harrowing effect on the empire. There were lack of harvests, hunger was a common problem, there were to few men in the army which brought to severe barbarian invasions. Other plagues had similar effects.

They would decompose and become just bones.
Many bodies of plague victims were not buried because the death toll overwhelmed burial services, leading to mass graves being used. Additionally, fear of contagion meant that bodies were not handled or buried promptly as people were too scared to come into contact with them.

Moses didn't send the plagues. God did. But I believe that the death of the first born would be the worst.
The black death was the worst in cities in western Europe. The rats and fleas from the boats would travel to the ports and the disease would spread wherever it stopped. Spain and France had it the worst.
