One of the reasons is because they didn't have possessions because it weighed them down when they travelled.

They needed to travel to obtain enough food. Some tribes were not nomadic, or travelled little because they had an abundant food source.

no. It is far more complex than that. The fact that they didn't have possessions isn't why they're nomadic, it's a side effect of their nomadic lifestyle.

The real reason is because:

50,000 bce also known as the Great Leap Forward, marked the transition between early the early human, Neanderthal to Cro-magnon. Cro-magnons, more intelligent than their Neanderthal ancestors had clothing and more complex tools, which eventually led to their expansion to Australia. One reason for their nomadic lifestyle was simply the fact that, in the desert they are lacking in an abundant food source. another reason is... (of course this was gradual) When those people arrived there, they were nomadic and hunting and gathering still of course. They killed off any future beast of burden candidates upon their arrival because the animals were fearless and had evolved without humans as a predators. With all beasts of burden candidates killed off, it was hard to establish a stable agricultural empire not to mention their lack of resources in the desert... And so they never established a sedentary civilization like Mesopotamia, china, Egypt and so on... it was not by any means that Aboriginals were incompetent, it was just that their lack of resources, beasts of burden and a lacking in any sort of harvest-able calorie rich grain to grow.

Sorry for all of the typos. I should be studying for finals and writing my essay. I only commented because i am procrastinating writing my finals essay, for my freshman humanities class, i am writing is on this very subject. i hope this helps a little bit.
