the terms were harsh. mainly, limitation to produce weapons, limited army size, etc... i think these terms were to prevent further aggressions. so, AHitler played on the un-fairness of this treaty.

∙ 14y agoProbably because the treaty included a specific "war guilt" clause where Germany had to admit, both to starting the war and to being responsible for all the suffering and property damage it had caused. As the guilty party, Germany was then required to foot the massive financial cost of the war. Since the Germans neither belived that they had started the war or that they had lost it, many considered the treaty to be unjust.
