I had lyme disease a couple years ago, and even after you're done with the medicane and stuff it will always be in your system; like if you get bloodwork or something it will show up as you have it, but it will always be there. If the mothball smell is really from mothballs (para-dichloro-benzene) then you just have to leave the windows open for a day or two and the smell will go away. If the smell is from something else or it doesn't go away with the windows open you have to identigy the source of the smell and remove it.
