i can start the car, and it runs for a few meters, dies out like im giving it no gas. then it will not restart. after sitting about 10 minutes or so, it will start again and is drivable for a few more meters, then dies again to have the whole process rinse and repeat itself . it also makes a loud rattling noise like the valves are rattleing and then loses all horsepower then dies. once its started back up it sounds like the lifters are tapping, and just gets louder until the car dies again. it will not idle on its own.
it was designed, it lifted, it went, it stopped, it lifted again, it stopped again, lifted yet again, it went, it stopped, it continues. short history ends.
you need to get petrol or it might be the engine or you need a new spark plug
Anywhere buddy
I have the same car. Mine doesn't start sometimes. It does not start after I have driven for ten minutes or so and stopped and turned off the engine for about 25 minutes. It will start immediately after it is turned off or ten minutes later, but not 30 minutes later. I have to wait about an hour or longer for it to start again. If I turn off the engine, then run back to the car every ten or fifteen minutes to start it, it is fine. I also think it will start if I turn on the ignition for 30 seconds or so before I crank it.
Keep an eye on that. I have had a newly rebuild engine smoke several times, usually because of assembly lubricants burning off, but it stopped pretty quickly. Another cause might be oil or coolant in the exhaust system also. If the smoke does not quit after 10-20 minutes you may need to go over that engine again, perhaps a seal is not set properly.
what is the problem if a Chevy diesil engine start and run 30 minuits died and start right up again
If the remote car starter stopped working after a new battery was installed in the remote, the remote needs to be reprogrammed. If the remote starter stopped working after a new battery was installed in the vehicle, the computer might need to be reset by disconnecting the battery for a few minutes.
It stopped, but it has started again.
check your timing belt
sadly no
Remove the battery cables for 5 minutes, should do it. Then the computer will reset and relearn after driving again. If a major fault was present before, it will return via the check engine light. If you need an inspection, then unhooking the battery for 5 minutes and driving maybe 20-40 miles and then going for inspection may do the trick. There is a small window where the check engine light hasn't come on yet and the IM monitors are mostly ready for inspection.....just before the check engine light comes on again. It will pass, in this window. But when the check engine light comes on again, it will not pass.
I've got 54,000 miles on my Ford Explorer , and the dealer has cleaned the fuel rail and injectors one time as part of a maintenance package ( hooked a pressurized can of concentrated cleaner up to the engine after shutting the fuel pump off and letting the engine run until it stopped ) then the engine ran on what was in the can until it stopped again
