you need a blower control module which controls the fan speed by monitoring the temperature of the air entering the cabin. I was working on a '92 Park Ave but suspect that the location is in the same vicinity. Mine was on the firewall just below a fuse panel. Disconnect wire, remove three screws, and pull the module out of the air box. I got a (good) replacement at a pick a part for $10 :-) Good Luck
