Human anatomy (which the skeleton is a vital part of) is a requirement for almost all medical professions. To be specific though, many directional or geographical terms are based on the location of certain skeletal framework areas.
Consider a man and woman's pelvic regions (hips), which one is wider than the other? In most cases the woman's ;D in addition to this a woman's hips are shallower and their pubic symphysis will separate during birth.
Notable differences are listed here in another question.

Hope that answered your question and inspired you to push through the lengthy course that is A&P
the cardiovascular system needs the skeletal system because the skeletal system protects the organs of the cardiovascular system with the ribs and other bone parts. Also bone produces erythrocytes (red blood cells) and leukocytes (white blood cells) which of course are essential for the cardiovascular system
Because we are made of millions of cells while an amoeba is just one cell. Large organisms made of many cells need solid supports to stand up.
Yep! The sympathetic nervous system causes both vasoconstriction & vasodilation. During "fight or flight" you need more O2/blood delivered to your skeletal muscles. The SNS causes vasodilation in skeletal muscles. The other organs, of the body (like digestive organs) are not needed for "fight or flight" survival. The SNS causes vasoconstriction in these organs.
I need to know this too! someone help!

Your skeletal system is one of the most important systems in your body. It is the foundation for your body and if you didn't have it, your body would be a pile of flesh and guts.
I need to find similes for the skeletal system. What is a simile for the respiratory system?
Piccolo does not know right now but he will try and find out the answer just for you without his pants. Wisdom from Piccolo: You dont need to know everything Gohan

If we didn't have a skeletal system we would be a blob on the ground. If we didn't have bones well basically the same thing but also we wouldn't be able to produce blood or marrow.<----- (important) We also need tendons and ligaments so our muscles stay attached to our bones (another reason why we need bones) and allow smoother movement.
It would be inpossible to move. We would be like a large bouncy ball.
All organ systems work together. First of all you need energy, digestive system does that. Then the circulatory system takes the food and takes it to the body. And for cellular respiration you need oxygen, so respiratory does that. And nervous is for telling and thinking what to do. And the main ones are skeletal and muscular systems. Muscular move bones which are from the skeletal system.
So the system can function correctly, as well as many others. Muscular, ciculatory, etc...
The only organs in the skeletal system are the bones. Do you need a list of all of these 206 bones found in the adult human? See the link below for this list.
