If a 1993 Dodge Spirit won't go into park, the issue could be related to a malfunctioning transmission linkage, which connects the gear shift to the transmission. It might also be due to a worn or damaged shift cable, or a problem with the transmission itself. Additionally, a faulty brake light switch, which is necessary for engaging park, could be the culprit. It's best to have a mechanic diagnose the issue to determine the exact cause.
Check for any obstructions in the linkage.
Try to change the transmission filter, or check the shifting linkage.
incorrect ignition timing, no fuel pressure, or no spark.
my 1993 buick park avenue wont start after i changed the front motor support you can jump it from the sodinoid and it will crank whats wrong could it be the security system
SOMETIMES IF THE STEERING WHEEL IS LOCKED YOU WONT BE ABLE TO SHIFT OUT OF PARK. TRY JIGGERING THE STEERING WHEEL AROUND.
The neutral safety switch, release switch, or brake switch is bad.
the only thing i can think of is the safety switch in the transmission... it detects anything wrong with transmission and kills the engine to prevent damage. you disconnect that and the engine wont run at all, wont even crank.
Either the fan is no good or the heat sensor in your radiator, that turns the fan on is not working!!
Check for spark, fuel, compression Check ignition timing
My 2003 dodge ram 1500 has a 4.7L and my question is when i lock my truck the security lights like the park lights wont come off and i dont know what i did any help?
What do you mean it wont do anything... will the engine turn over... is the battery good... if the battery good and the engine wont turn over as if its not receiving power to the starter then it might be a bad starter or bad starter solenoid.
The ignition and fuel pump run off the same power Circe so I would look to fuses and relays first. But if there is no spark the fuel pump on most wont turn on past the prime cycle.
