This is a generalized answer due to the lack of initial information, such as engine size, whether or not the battery is charged, is the engine cranking and not firing, etc.
First, is it cranking and not firing? If it won't crank, is the battery dead? If it will crank but not fire, check your basics: Is it getting spark?, is it getting fuel?, and is it getting air? There are a myriad of ways to check for spark and fuel and for safety and liability reasons I will not go into either. Air...check for an obstructed air filter. If all three of these are good, meaning you have a good spark, proper fuel flow, and unrestricted air, then you have a mechanical issue.
Starting with the crank positioning sensor. Located on the bell housing of the transmission at the rear of the engine on the drivers side (4.0L, 6 Cyl). This part will cost about $50-$60 dollars and is generally the culprit when you get a crank with no fire situation with strong spark, proper fuel, and unrestricted air... 2 bolts and a plug-in...easy fix.
Other parts to consider if you have weak or no spark: Distributor cap and Rotor, plugs, wires, coil, and ignition module.
If your battery is good and it won't crank, it may be your starter or starter solenoid.
Could be a loose or corrodedbattery cable.
It should the YJ was from 87 thru 95
Yes, they will.
The wheel should fit, the tire depends on the wheel.
Al YJ's are compatible, 89-95
No, the 95 is a YJ, and the 97 is a TJ, they shouldn't match up.
Green.
not many vehicles start well underwater......
No I have a 95 Jeep Wrangler and a 78 ford F150 and the rims will not swap.
ATF +4
35 to 40 psi
YJ body type and all parts are interchangeable, 87 thru 95 are all YJ.
