Neutral safety switch or the related wiring.
The engine itself not grounded to the car/battery. (use a booster cable to check)
Bad starter (the starter solenoid is mounted to, is part of the starter.
Corrosion in any of the starter wiring connections.
Dead battery, disconnected starter cable, or the engine is missing.
dead battery bad terminal connections starter relay
the only thing i can think of is the safety switch in the transmission... it detects anything wrong with transmission and kills the engine to prevent damage. you disconnect that and the engine wont run at all, wont even crank.
There could be a few reasons why a 1990 Chrysler Lebaron will crank but not start. The fuel pump could be out or the car could be out of gas. There may be a malfunction in the ignition system causing no spark.
wont crank or wont start http://www.kick-fix.com/nostart.html if it wont crank backup 1 page find no crank.
More than likely a timing belt Problem
it stops running motor wont crank or even move should have 0 compression to.
First you need to give a little more info. Will engine crank or not, is engine getting fuel.
Check for trouble codes. Possible cam or crank sensor.
the engine wont run. it cranks funny
did the engine run hot, is it frozen or does it turn over, if so sounds like something was taken loose and not reconnected, either by design or accident, check wiring carefully, any loose wires are suspicious
"Crank" meaning the starter doesn't crank the engine over to start it, changing the engine oil should have nothing to do with it not starting. If the battery was weak and something was left on, it may have run the battery down. Also check the engine oil level to be sure they put new oil back in or possibly left the drain plug loose and the oil drained out. If the engine was run with no oil in it, it could have seized the engine and it wouldn't crank over, in which case the engine is ruined.
