You may have a bad gauge and or a bad heat sending unit. Not expensive at fast parts stores.
im having the same problem with my 1994 I've replaced the heater core, thermostat, radiator,i checked the coolant, and it's not over heating or nothing and still no heat lol
Yes, replacing the heater core should slove the problem.
Either a clogged heater core or a thermostat that is stuck shut.
It could be a number of things. Two most common are a clogged heater core and bad thermostat. If you drive on the highway for awhile and you end up with some heat than it's probably the thermostat.
Low Coolant? Bad thermostat? Heater core plugged or restricted? Heater core airbound? Heater control cable not working?
i had the same problem w/my 97 avenger its a clogged heater core if u take the hose off from the fiewall and use a hose to unclog the heater core u should be all set.also thermostat can be gone id do thermostat then heater core
There are a bunch of things that can cause that. Water pump, thermostat, switch not engaging the heater, air in the heater core, not enough antifreeze in the cooling system. do i need a new thermostat
Heater core could be clogged.
have the heater core checked out. it may have gone bad or there may be something clogging it Check your heater core, it could be bad, then check thermo sensors.
Have you flushed the heater core?
Check the coolant level. Check the thermostat.
Low coolant, failed thermostat, failed belt, failed water pump, clogged heater core, etcLow coolant, failed thermostat, failed belt, failed water pump, clogged heater core, etc
