Heater core could be clogged.
heat core. leak. thermostat. no antifreeze.
You probably have a leak in the heater core.
The most common signs of a bad heater core are; no heat or fluid leaking into the passenger compartment. The heater core can have a leak or it can be plugged.
You might also have a bad heater core that needs to be replaced. You can either attempt to flush it out or just have it replaced. Heater cores are not extremely expensive, but I would recommend changing the thermostat at same time. Thermostats are normally $10 to $20 where a heater core can be anywhere past $50.
Coolant leak, possible heater core. Suggest to have it pressure tested to find leak.
Assuming the blower motor works, Low on coolant (leak in system), Stuck open thermostat, Plugged up heater core, Temperature blend door faulty,
No it wont. The heater core is just a small radiator inside the cabin that when the fan is turned on heats the air. A bad heater core will cause you to have no heat inside or will leak coolant on the carpet.
Leaking heater core, debris in the HVAC box, oil leak under hood, etcLeaking heater core, debris in the HVAC box, oil leak under hood, etc
can be water pump, radiator, heater core, thermostat housing, hose, or freeze-out plugs
Leaking hose? Defective thermostat housing or bad thermostat gasket? Bad water pump or gasket? Leak in radiator? Leak at heater core? Leak at head gasket? Coolant recovery tank?
At the heater core itself.
The heater in a car is a little radiator under the dashboard. It's called the heater core. There's a valve in the water system that sends hot coolant into the heater core when you turn on the heat, and keeps the coolant in the engine when you don't want heat. If the car is leaking antifreeze when the heat is on but not when it's off, something in the heater system has a hole in it. Because there's always coolant in the heater core and the hoses that feed it, my first thought is the valve itself is bad.
