If you're trying to copy something (say, text or image) using either Edit>Copy or Ctrl+C and you find that your Paste feature isn't working using either Edit>Paste or Ctrl+V, try this. (This is also for troubleshooting right click on your mouse and Paste is greyed out).
Open a program you can typically paste into (say Paint or Word). Whatever you are trying to copy, keep this screen on top. Click the image/highlight the text you want to copy and DRAG it directly into either Paint or Word. You should see your mouse pointer with a + sign next to it, as if it is trying to add something. Paste your text/image into the program.
This should clear out your clipboard cache or whatever bug is hosing up your Ctrl+C then Ctrl+V function. Check to be sure; it might take a repeat of a few times before it works. Hope this helps.
