I repelaced the air conditioner compressor and the climate control unit. on the counsel, the compressor still reads, OFF and the air won't come on. is their a way to reset?
I am wondering how the compressor on my 1993 Chev Astro comes apart, I have someone who will repair this for me but he is unsure as to what is involved by taking it apart.
i have a pioneer travel trailer, air conditioner the compressor does not come on please advise is there internal switch?
if the compressor dont come on when you turn on the a/c then your compressor could be bad, also there is a relay in the fuse panel for the a/c compressor is it has gone out then that could cause it if your compressor comes on then you might need to recharge your system
2.3 L engine. Should come out from the bottom. For more room, remove the torsion bar plate.
You could be low on freon, also check your fuses to see if any are blown, or you culd have a bad a/c switch.
If the compressor will not come on at all, it is not because the system needs charging. Check for a blown fuse, disconnected wire at the compressor, or a defective compressor clutch.
absolutly NOT
Check to see if the cooling fan ( if so equipped) comes on when the a/c is turned on. It should come on when either the a/c is on or the defroster is on. (both activate the a/c compressor).
The compressor on my bus failed causing the emergency brakes to come on.
As much as went in. Not trying to be a smarta**, but there is no info on unit size or lineset length which are the 2 most determining factors of unit charge amount.
