A battery that will not hold a charge is normally caused by a dead cell in the battery itself. The only fix is to replace the battery. To know for sure that something is not pulling power from the battery overnight simply fully charge the battery and then disconnect the negative battery cable overnight. Connect it up the next morning and if the battery is dead then the battery has a dead cell and needs replacing. If the battery is still fully charge then look for a parasitic drain on the battery. Any light that is staying on. Under hood, glove box, courtesy, brake, backup, any light. Can also be a relay that is stuck. To check the alternator connect a multimeter set to the 20 volt DC scale. You should get a reading of 13.5 to 15.5 volts with the engine running at idle.
