Why won't your 1993 Mercury Sable start every once in a while when you turn the key on the fuel pump won't start and then the car won't either?

There is a good chance the battery terminals are getting corroded. Pull them off and with a terminal cleaner ensure they are good and clean. It also could be the battery starting to have problems. You can go into an auto shop and they can test that for you.
