START BY CHECKING FOR A BURNT FUSE. THEN YOUR LIGHT SWITCH. SOME OLDER CARS HAVE A FUSE ON THE BACK OF THE LIGHT SWITCH ITSELF. THESE ARE NOT THE EASIEST THINGS TO WORK ON. DASHES ARE TRICKY SO IF YOU NOT VERY EXPERIENCED HAVE IT CHECKED BY SOME ONE ELSE. ALWAYS DISCONNECT THE BATERY BEFORE YOU WORK WITH THE DASH. YOU MAY JUST HAVE TWO BURNED OUT HEAD LIGHTS. ITS POSSABLE! GOOD LUCK
They are burned out.
Break lights come on when you step on the break, they do not come on when the head lights are turned on.
Have you checked the fuses?
Check the fuse, bulbs and actual regulator switch in that order
my guess is that it is the brake relay
use BMW bulbs and parts
if the plug is receiving power but the lights wonbt come on you may have to replace the entire lens piece since the brake lights are not a normal bulb they are built into the lens
a fuse or fulty wiring the brake lights are useually out the same time as the dash lights if that helps any
there is a short in the relay for the head lights
Since the break lights turn on when the head lights are activated, the problem is probably in the wiring of your break lights. Someone may have accidentally disconnected the wires of your break lights to your head lights.
The brake light switch is either broken or out of adjustment. The switch is located above the brake pedal.
they are not brake lights they are fog lights and they turn on because it is for the car behind to see you
