I just had the same problem with ours. The automatic hubs went out on ours. The front hubs are also vacuum ran. The best solution is to buy a pair of Warn manual hubs from NAPA auto store and just replace the orig. auto. hubs with manual hubs. You will want to disconnect the vacuum solenoid on the drivers side, by the fender-well and tape it with electrical tape. This should solve all your problems.
If your original automatic hubs are OK. then chances are there is a vacuum leak somewhere. That is why I suggest replacing them with manual hubs.
Hope this helps and Good luck.....

No special button, just pull the smaller gearshift down, and you will see the "4WD" light on the dash. down position is high 4WD and down and over to the righ and up is Low 4WD.
airbag light is on dash
The dash light fuse gets its power from the tail light fuse. If the tail light fuse blows, you won't have any dash lights either.
on the side of the dash
Assuming the dash light dimmer switch is not off, check the fuse.
If it is a dash warning light, there is a failure causing it. If it is an exterior light, the switch may be on.If it is a dash warning light, there is a failure causing it. If it is an exterior light, the switch may be on.
Similar problem with my 2002 Kia Sportage. Lever engages, dash light indicates 4WD but truck still in 2WD. Dealer checked out, told me "solenoid valve frozen" and needs replacement. .

could be low battery or loose connections
OD means Overdrive. The light is on because you have disengaged the Overdrive. The button is on the shift lever on the side. Push that button to engage the overdrive.
should be drivers side under dash.
