Some apps require a certain version that you might not have. To know what the version needed for the app is look at the Requirements when you press on an app and go to its info page before you buy it and waste time.

I have removed some apps off itunes but when i update some apps them apps i have removed download again how can i stop this happening to me everytime i update my apps?
mmm go to my documents/music/itunes/mobile applications delete the apps directly from that folder to prevent them from syncing back to your device
