You may want to check the fuses for the lights. If that inst the case than it has something to do with the wiring which is a big mess. Or check the bulbs. Check the simple stuff first before going drastic.

I have a 95 and for my headlights I need a 10 If I'm not mistaken the 88-90 are the same it wont hurt to try it. Or you could try a 7.5 less is better when your not sure.
