If the lock barrel turns, then it's in as far as it needs to go. Otherwise, if the lock barrel doesn't turn, then it's faulty and needs to be replaced. This can unfortunately, sometimes entail replacing the entire Steering Lock Assembly.
Try moving the steering wheel back and forth. Usually the wheel locks itself when the key is out so the holes become misaligned

Go to dealer, expensive, have to get one through them so key is the same as the original so you don't need two keys, door/ ignition. Tear apart steering column.
you got the wrong key.
u need a new ignition switch
when i turn the ignition key i jus hear a click noise coming from the engine. any body have any ideas of what it could be ? and well it wont accelarate and go anywhere .. ?
not sure if it's the same on yours but on mine this is what i do. i leave the key in the ignition, i turn the ignition all the way back as far as it will go, tap on the key inwards and then try it again. on mine it's because my keys are worn down, yours might be the same, but it's worth a shot.
change the ignition switch the little black thing on your key is wore down and not making good contact that should fix the problem
where the key goes or the whole starting system? if it's where the key goes .does the key go in and turn freely, or is there a hang up, if not it's not the ignition. what is it doing?
It means that you are most likely trying to put the wrong key in the ignition. A slang phrase for male impotence.
Could be low battery power. Not enough to start the engine.
If the Chrysler Voyager key alarm will not go off and the key fob has new batteries, it is possible that the key fob needs to be repaired. Sometimes, the battery holder needs to be re-soldered into the circuit board. It may also need to be reprogrammed by putting it in the ignition and turning it off and on several times, then start the vehicle.
