I had that issue with almost all my windows in my car!! When u try to roll up the window do u hear a noise or nothing at all!! either way ur best bet is to take off the door panel with a flat screw driver and there is one bolt in the middle that needs a torex socket I believe 30 is the size once u get the door panel off pull off the plastic that protects motor try to roll up ur window. If nothing replace the window regulator the window motor and brace come together about a 100 dollars depends where u go. sometimes the cable also snaps off the brace. when u remove the brace ur window can fall so be careful ur best bet is to get a zip tie and strap the window from top to bottom then remove bolts for window motor and the bolts at the bottom of window with the right socket, then ur dont have to worry about the window falling. once removed put new window regulator back in three bolts for motor and 2 for window. Plug in electrical connectors and bam it should roll up and down. I have noticed that when I put subwoofers in my car this became common for my window regulators to snap on the cable but once replaced I never had an issue.
There are a couple of different reasons as to why there would be power window failure in a 1998 Pontiac Grand Prix. One reason could be a faulty fuse or it could also be a short in the window motor.
