In a cyclic process something has to be moved in what we call a cycle, and movement needs energy to be provided in some way. For example the "rain water cycle" has the Sun as a heat source, causing evaporation to move water from the ground to the air. It then rises to form clouds, which, when big enough, cannot hold the water drops, so causing rain (or it may be fog or snow) which thus returns the water to the earth again.
Similarly the 4 stroke cycle of a car or motor bike engine would not be able to move the machine unless there was fuel to be burned inside the cylinders.
work done (by) the system equals zero , W=P(v2 - v1)= zero , where v2 = v1
zero. because in free expansion volume of gas increase against any resistance.
Work = force x distance. With a distance of zero, the work will also be zero.
work done on an object zero by a force would be zero isif the displacement of the object is zero
work done is zero because force is toward the centre and distance is tangent to the circle so cos90 is equal to zero.[abbasia]
In throttling process, work done is zero.
work done (by) the system equals zero , W=P(v2 - v1)= zero , where v2 = v1
the cyclic integral of this is zero
Work Done = Force x Displacement, so if the displacement is zero, the work done will be zero. There will be no work done.
WHAT IS PMM-1 A PMM1 is a Thermodynamic system that undergoes a cyclic process that produce no external affects other than the rise ( or fall) of a weight in a gravity field. WHY IS IT IMPOSSIBLE? PMM-1 state that work can still be produce in a cyclic process. This definition is against first law of thermodynamics and conservation of energy. According to first law of thermodynamics, in cyclic process E2- E1 = mg (h2 - h1) h2= h1 in cyclic process so the above equation yields E2=E1. where as according to PMM-1 you can produce work even when energy is zero (0), which makes it impossible
That means that no work is done.
zero. because in free expansion volume of gas increase against any resistance.
no work will be done because force is applied but displacement is zero so no work will be done.
Zero work done
Work done is zero when force acts right angle to the direction of the motion of the body . my situation of zero work done , one day i hold many books approximately 15 after some time i feel very tired but there is a physical work done is zero because i worked against right angle . i feel actual work is done because when i holding book my muscles and blood circulate all over the body so i feel work is done. Arshad Quraishi
If the angle between the displacement and force applied is less than a right angle, then it is Positive Work done. If the angle between the displacement and the force applied is greater than a right angle then it is Negative Work done. If the displacement and force are at right angles, or either is zero, then it is Zero Work done.
Work = force x distance. With a distance of zero, the work will also be zero.
