its happy it just had fun its happy it just had fun Low oil pressure, fast moving internal metal parts inadequately lubricated tend to rub, bang, knock against each other, not good. Causes? Oil volume low. Clogged oil filter. Oil pressure loss. Oil pump failing, needs replacement. Stock oil pump suction (or pick-up) screen, in oil pan, is easily clogged by debris, replacing this might solve low oil pressure (if clogged screen didn't already fry oil pump).
Your check gauge light comes on if : your coolant temperature guage shows the temperature is high your oil pressure gauge shows the oil pressure is low or your fuel gauge shows the fuel tank is near empty
Check engine light : Gauge cluster without tachometer ( under the engine oil pressure gauge ) Gauge cluster with tachometer ( just to the left of the battery voltage gauge )
On a 2002 Ford Ranger : The check " gage " light comes on if : The engine coolant temperature is TOO HIGH The engine oil pressure is TOO LOW or The fuel gauge is at or near empty
No , the CHECK " GAGE " light comes on if the gas gauge is at or near empty , the engine coolant temperature is HIGH , or the engine oil pressure is LOW
It means at least one of the gauges is out of its normal range. The "check gauge light" is notifing you to take notice with either the engine temp gauge, the battery gauge or the engine oil pressure gauge.
The check gage light comes on if your engine coolant temperature is high , the oil pressure is low , or the gas tank is almost empty
If it is not working you have no oil pressure and the oil light will come on or the oil pressure gauge will drop to 0. You will also hear engine noise, as in, pecking, or knocking. Engine will also overheat very quickly.
the oil pressure sending unit is designed to warn you of a low oil pressure. If the sensor goes bad then the low pressure light or gauge will read low when the oil pressure is actually ok.
Your engine needs a litre of oil if the light is on, or more if you've been driving around for awhile with it on.
An oil pressure gauge and or the idiot light.
sounds like your gauge is broken or there is a short in wiring
The check engine light on a 1999 Ford Ranger is between the full mark of the gas gauge and the left turn signal arrow
