Why would I have pain in different tooth than the one with the root canal?

I wished I had an answer to this question. During a root canal recently I could feel pain in a completely different tooth that wasn't even being worked on. And ever since then it has been bothering me? My dentist doesn't know why? WTH?

Many times when the canal was deep and infected the dentist will use special files to widen the canal. This is essentially removing tissue from the tooth. this can cause the gums to be sore. if you are having severe tooth pain, you should see a dentist. it would usually indicate your tooth is dying or the nerves in your tooth are dying off. Sensitive to hot or pressure will most likely result in a root canal or extraction of that tooth. Waiting for the pain to disappear will only result in future issues. should cold or hot be used to relive pain
