I had the same problem. The turn signal/headlight lever on the left of the steering wheel needs to be replaced, or at least the leads cleaned. Good luck finding a used lever - they are scarce.
So did I, Twice. The first time, replacing the turn signal lever worked great for 6 months. Now I have the same problem, with the lights turning off on me while driving at night.
Anyone know where I can get a used lever? They are no longer in production.
If they both have the same engine.
Yes
Answer On the passenger side behind the kick panel....
1985 - 1988 Nissan Maxima is the only other Nissan model with power window motors that will fit a 1986 300ZX.
There is no switch to activate or deactivate the brake lights on a 1988 Nissan. The brake lights automatically turn on any time the brakes are pressed.
dont....just replace it..its safer........
check vacuum lines top passenger side rear of engine
Nistune. Romulator are two of them you can use to reprogram a z31 ecu.
A short circuit. Look through your connections to your 'lights' and make sure there are no short circuits. If you want to know about short circuits see related links below.
Honestly just buy a chiltons repair manual. It has everything you need to know about the car. It covers 1970-1988 Nissan z's or zx's
No. Not without custom brackets. If your gonna put Z32 seats in a Z31 I would spend the money on a nice Recaro racing seat, or other aftermarket seat. Good quality company's like Recaro will make the brackets for the seat to bolt right in. And they look good too.
I've heard u can resolder the ground inside the control box but your best bet is to just replace it.
