One of 2 things to check. First is to make sure you have enough oil in the engine, check the dipstick. Second is your oil pump may be wearing out. Chevy has a neat little safety measure so when your engine does not have a safe amount of oil, the engine will shut itself off. With either problem, when you are at a higher idle theoil is either splashed around enough or the pump is pumping faster and raising the oil pressure. As always, check the easiest thing first, your oil. JC
