Why would a 1999 F-250 4wd not register speed from 0-30 mph shift rough during these speeds then run normal from 30 mph?

I have the same problem occasionally with my 1994 F-250. Does your truck have an overdrive button on the end of the gear selector? If so, does the overdrive light on the gear selector flash off and on? If yes, the problem is probably the same as mine, the "speed sensor" has gone bad. The replacement part isn't very expensive, usually under $40.
