you may need to go to the salvage yard to buy a replacement control module( the whole thing that allows you control of the fan, etc.) it should pop out with tabs and unplug with prongs like an electrical outlet, only more prongs and THIN and DELICATE. so be careful. don't have the rip your dash apart if this is the problem!
i have had a brand new thermostat that would not close, try replacing it again with factory parts not one from discount auto supplier.
A faulty crank sensor can do that.
Check the fuses.
Perhaps water pump is leaking?
