My 2000 Malibu just cruised to a stop when the fuel pump went. there was no warning. Mostly when this is about to happen I would hear a noise. Not on the Chevy Malibu though. I suspect all GM products fail similarly. So Check to see if the fuel pump is getting fuel to the engine. You can contact me at Powell1D@msn.com. I am hoping to be able to put a 3900 engine in my Malibu now. Maybe I should post it for help. I'm not sure if it will fit.
have battery tested bet it is no good
To turn off a service engine light soon on a 1997 Malibu, you will need to unhook the battery for up to 2 minutes. After you hook the battery back up, the light should be off.
Look at the bottom of the engine follow the + battery cable
on the 3.1 it is on top right side of engine.
The 2004 Chevy Malibu fuse box is located in the engine compartment. The fuse box will be behind the battery box.
NO. has to be cleared with a scan tool
If the check engine light is on then you need to have it diagnosed. If not then replace the fuel filter.
On the front of the engine above the oil filter.
(no it uses the energy from the car battery not the energy made by the engine)Yes it does increase consumption because the battery has to be recharged by the power of the engine driving the alternator or the dynamo
no it is not :\
The battery and the alternator. The "electrical pressure" probably refers to the voltage. This is usually provided by a battery. The battery is recharged by the engine when it is running.
In the back of the engine compartment, behind the engine, next to the fire wall.
