specify "not go into drive" does that mean it stalls or?
I would use my key
Becuase you did not put your mini-van in reverse?!
A warning light on the dash would illuminate.
i would have the light switch checked to see if it is faulty
Throttle position sensor
I hear it is the crankshaft position sensor (CPS) on the car, we have an Aurora in the shop now with this problem.
Because reverse is a lower ratio gear than drive and puts less load on the engine.
Oldsmobile being one of the oldest car manufacturers in America, I can imagine why you think it would be difficult to find aftermarket parts for your Aurora. However, I came across a whole range of Oldsmobile Aurora aftermarket parts on 1aauto.com while surfing online. They seem to have a large inventory of aftermarket parts for Oldsmobile Aurora on their website. What I like about them is the fact that they are a second generation aftermarket car part dealers, which means they really know the business inside out. I was also impressed to read that they have won the Bizrate Circle of Excellence Award three years in a row.
The Aurora is faster. I have one myself. It has 50 more horses then a Grand Prix GT, and it is also faster then the supercharged Grand Prix GTP. Not much faster, but it is.
Could be,blown fuse, bad blower motor, bad switch, bad resistor,
* cause it needs to be put in drive to go forward
Fuse, wiring, connector, drivers side window control switch.
