what motor is in your truck? It is a Triton V-8 (5.4L)
A baby in the back (with a rattle of course), or a rattle snake under the seat
Triton is the engine in a truck , starting 1997
Juggernaut is a very large truck. It is a semi-trailer truck or a tractor that consists of towing engine. In Canada it is called as a transport truck.
Becuase there is trash in it, or your exhaust is loose.
Have it checked for codes, and diagnose the code.
Spark plugs
i had one go bad an it started out with a slight rattle when the engine was running at idle. You cannot notice the noise at speed . Took the truck to a muffler shop and had it inspected and replaced. you could shake the cat and hear the baffle rattle inside
Mybe your starter died. They are usually about $50
If the noise goes away when the clutch pedal is pressed down, then the problem is most likely the clutch throw out bearing. It may be the stainless steel shrouds on the exaust pipe. My 1994 truck will rattle when the engine is at a certain speed. The screws holding the metal together have begun to rust out, and the loose pieces are making the rattle. My 1994 truck does just the same. About 3 years ago I was advised by the dealer to replace the timing chain immediately for about 1600.-$CDN (typical advice for a female...) and shrugged it off ever since. I just replace the engine oil more often. I read a few times that the models around 1994 have a slightly lose timing chain causing the intermittent rattle but are of no major concern. I will post again if my engine blows up after all....
It cuts off the engine while you start it up.
The engine is located in the back of the truck.
Could be worn transmission and/or motor mounts. Could be a worn driveline.
