There are 2 main causes for the CC to quit working suddenly.
1- Voltage short at the switch located in the steering harness.
-Solution:
-Replace switch obtained at local dealer , $130-$164
-Replace fuse/relay located in kick panel and under hood, $2-$15
2- Vacuum Leak Located either behind the brake master cyl. or integrated in to it.
-Solution:
-Test for vacuum leaks:
* 1.Buy a can of "Starting fluid"
2.Start engine, let idle until norm. operating temp.
3.Spray (while @ idle) starting fluid onto and around all vacuum lines.
4.Listen for rpm spike. If engine revs up in any way you have a leak and the line(s) must be replaced.
- Check Brake master cyl. for cracks (Crystler likes to use plastic vacuum resevoirs)

the cruise control is broken....
BROKEN CRUISE CONTROL CABLE (CHECK AT THROTTLEBODY AND FOLLOW TO TRANSMISSION)
my control cable frayed....
There is no fuse for the cruise control on a 1994 Acura Integra. It is a relay switch under the hood near the battery. This would have nothing to do with the dashboard clock, if the cruise control is not working properly. If the cruise control is not coming on, check the relay, then check the carburetor or EFI (Electronic Fuel Injector). Also, the cruise control will not come on if the brake light switch or the clutch is not working properly.
check to see if your spoiler brake light is out replace it and it usually will finish the ground to the abs sensor and cruise control
Blown fuse would be where to look first.
Did you get the a RECALL notice ? Regarding the cruise control ... Ford put out a RECALL on the cruise control last year... I just had mines done on my 98 Ford Expedition XLT last week.
It is possible that both of the fuses are bad for the low beam headlights and the cruise control. A loose ground wire could cause the fuses to blow.
Check your fuses first; you may have a bad fuse.
vacuum or electric what should i look for
There are a few reasons why the cruise control does not work in a car. The fuse could be out, the wiring could need replacing or something as simple as the buttons not working.
I believe there is no fuse just for the cruise control. The cruise control circuit is covered by the PCM. However, I would check the switches on the brake pedal.
