multiple random misfire on 4.3 vortec why?
burnt valve...
If your 1997 GMC 5.7L Vortec has a misfire at an idle but not while under throttle, the problem is likely the timing. This can be adjusted.
P0300 = random misfire.
try changing the cap and rotor
Several things can cause your 1996 4.3 liter V-6 engine to misfire and have a vibration. A bad fuel injector is the most common cause.
Type your answer here... I had the same problem with my 96 Tahoe.. Vortec 350. Problem was a blown intake gasket.
Although there are several things that can cause this code. The most common on the vortec is a bad distributor cap. When you replace the cap. Do NOT use a cheap cap and always use ac delco plugs in a vortec. They are very picky with ignition. If you need it timed afterwards you will have to use a scan tool and set it plus or minus 2 degrees of 0 while watching the cam retard on the scan tool.
Vortec
Your spark plug wires are probibly wet where they get contact with the plugs so just dry them off
You can, as long as you change the complete wiring harness, Computer, Fuel pump with 1 that will operate the VORTEC engine.
Regardless of the block, you have to use Vortec heads to use a Vortec intake.
