Check for fuel and spark the next time it happens.

check to see if your security light is on i had the same problem (they all do ) put your key in the "on " postition and leave it for 10 minutes until the security light flashes off and then start your engine.
Up until 1997, Volvo was still 100% Swedish owned and built.
I'm sure that it like the 96. In that case it is on the side of the block facing forward. Right by the oil filter. It is common on this engine to accidentally push the electrical off when changing the starter. When that happens, the new starter cranks very well but the engine won't start until it is determined what happened and the connector is plugged back on. Good Luck Rick
870 stand for the 850 en V70classic series. There isn't a Volvo 870 as such. Volvo enthousiasts just use the number 870 when they are referring to a Volvo 850 '92-'97 or a V70(classic) first generation made until 2000.
I suggest that the cause may be related to the starter. Because, if the starter is staying engaged with the ring gear on the flwheel after you start the engine it will cause the starter to overheat, thus preventing the starters operation until it cools.
Start with 4.5 qts. Top off until full and make note of the amount.
The Volvo C70 was first produced and marketed as a coup̩ until 2002. Later, Volvo produced a variant as a soft-top convertible and as a luxury hardtop convertible. Volvo has announced to stop the production of the model in late 2013.
kittens are really to small to be let outside until the are about 4-6 months, or they are very likely to be killed. until then, invest in a small liter box. if you clean it everyday, their will be minimal smell.
check to see if battery is connected correctly. and correctly is positive cable to positive terminal
check ur starter the internal metal brushed might be swelling up and stoping it from starting i had that happen on my old ford when oil driped in to the starter and when i would stop after the car was warm it would cut off and wouldn't start until the starter cooled when i replaced it, it never happened again.
Yes, the transmissions are compatible. The S90 was the re-branding of the 960 until 1998 or 1999.
