The impact sensor may have triggered, causing the fuel pump to shut-off. Check the owner's manual or internet, for the make of vehicle involved. There is usually a post-reset procedure that will enable the pump again. This safety design is used to ensure no fuel would pump into a burning engine compartment after a collision.

Very Carefully
Bad alternator?
The car breaks (brakes) stop the car.
because if you stop immediately then the car will stall.
Stressor
ABS prevents breaks from locking up when you have to slam them down to stop suddenly. The ABS system causes the car to jerk a bit when it kicks in. Older cars that don't have ABS may lock up and the car will not maneuver well and may skid when stopping suddenly. If you "pump" non-ABS breaks instead of slamming them down, you can avoid the negative effects of a non-ABS system.
Aliens!!!!!!!
Possibly the Head Gasket is blown.
Breaks , tracking
They stop you from slamming into the stopped portions of the car. (See - inertia.)
doubt that a t-stat would cause a car to shut down and restart when cold check for an ignition module proublem
