Good question. A lot of dog owners have this disgusting problem. They dogs mother taught them as puppies to eat their poo because of the protein in it. This problem are most common in small dogs.

I actually had this problem when I was potty-training my Shih Tzu. I ended up just cleaning up the poo before I take the dog out. Never hit the dog, you'll only weaken your relationship with your dog. I heard putting pineapple in their food works but I've never tried it with my dog.

This is very hard to describe a way to you!

Good luck!

A dog that doesn't eat dog poop is a VERY good dog! You NEVER want your dog to eat poop, because after your dog may lick you, the floor, or even get into your food. This could get you ill and your house could get sickly to live in.

Are there breeds of dogs that are more or less likely to eat feces?

Well, all dogs will probably try tasting their own, or another dog's, feces sometime in their life. However, since that instinct is derived from their wolf/wild dog ancestors it would be accurate to assume that the more domesticated the dog breed, the less likely it will do this regularly. For example, a wolf type dog or a hound dog would be more likely to eat their own deficate than say a chihuahua or pug (dogs that differ greatly from their wolve ancestors).

Where do you eat in a castle?

Are you a guest, a noble, a child, or a servant? The nobles and guests would eat in the Great Hall, the host and his very special retainers and guests on a raised platform. Children would eat in their own quarters, overseen by their nurses or governesses. The servants would eat in the kitchen, except some of the outside servants (stable-keepers, dog and falcon tenders) who would eat with their charges.

Dog is a picky eater why?

Dogs are picky eaters caused by their owners. If owners are giving the dogs food and scraps from the table, it causes the dog to get used to the human food. Obviously, human food tastes way better than dog food. The dog will not eat its own food anymore unless you mix it with human food. If your dog chooses not to eat, it doesn't eat. Leave the food out and when they get hungry enough, they'll just eat their own plain food.
