Why would a girl still bleed after her period if she's on birth control?

I'm not sure what the difference is between bleeding during your period and bleeding "after your period" in the first three months of Birth Control pill use, you may have unscheduled bleeding. This side effect usually goes away after three months. If you're having bleeding that's troublesome, or that's associated with pain or unusual vaginal discharge, talk to your health care provider.

Yes you will still have periods while on the pill. While on the pill your periods will come on an expected day which is usually during the placebo week. The pill will sometimes lighten your menstrual flow.

This is very common. It doesnt only happen to you. If your on a birth control that stops your period completely you will still on occasion bleed. Its called spotting. But if it is becoming a period you might want to consult your doctor.

You should however still get a withdrawal bleed during your placebo pills, lack of withdrawal bleed isn't great health-wise.Talk to your doctor about this, consider switching to another birth control option or brand.

If your on birth control you don't actually get a period its actually withdrawal bleeding which looks the same as a period. Sex wont effect this cycle.
