when your rear differential whines it needs gear oil. it might have a broken seal so it dried out The 'nose' (front) bearing has failed. Check for movement in the subframe (A frame) mounting rubbers. Can't miss 'em they are just in front of the back wheels and about 3 inches across. Excess play here is very common and causes the diff 'nose' to dip under load. If left too long, the constant misalignment of the propshaft causes the bearing to fail.
check transmission fluid level . then check differential oil level also that model ford needed additive in diff oil to stop noise was a ford recall on that
ON the 2006 impala that whining noise is actually the electronics when you accelerate. Its more or less electronic pulses/signals My 06 Impala is the same.
yes but why would you leave it loose?
Yes, the bearing in that pulley may be going bad.
The relays have nothing to do with the whining noise, they just complete the circuit and make things work. The whining noise is the fuel pump and that is a common problem with Chevy That noise will not hurt anything, but I would change the fuel filter and that may quite the pump a little. A stoped up fuel filter will burn a fuel pump up.

ur car sucks!!!!
This could be a number of things. First I would check your U-joints. This is the joint that connects the transmission to the rear differential. Hold both ends and twist like you are giving it an Indian burn. If there is any free-play then it is bad. Second I would check out your wheel bearings. This will make noise at certain speeds not consistently. After that then check out your differential. If you got water in there or anything then you might need that rebuilt. There are many things such as transmission noise, brakes noise etc. But these are some of the most common.
Possible its time to change those brake pads out. The whining noise is possibly the metal grinding to your rotor, which would cause your wheel to shake. Consider getting those rotors turned as well.
this is normal and nothing to worry about. Almost all vehicles make a whining noise in reverse Ford Mondeo's sound the same reversing as they do going forwards no whining also VW Passatt i think the Golf's are the same also maybe modern technology has improved this. probably bad enough listening to your wife whining you can do without your car doing it.
The clutch Throw Out Bearing is going bad.
If the RPMs in the engine increases and the speed not, the clutch may be worn out, usually it becomes noise at the same time
