Why would an 04 Mitsubishi Outlander shut off while stopped at a light then be able to turn on again right afterwords?

Same thing has been happening to me, exccept more frequently and it doen't turn on right away. My mom says she thinks it's the spark's plugs so check those out and then maybe check to make sure you have enough oil in your car.
