Because he has a hard time taking responsibility for his own life. My dear I think you need to get informed, and go to a twelve step group. I'm not sure which one would apply to you but it could be Al Anon for families of Alcoholics. You can get many numbers from these people anyway, whether his problem is drugs, alcohol or whatever. Do it for yourself. Take charge or your life. God Bless You.
