Why is Windows Vista so bad?
The previous answer is horrible. Just let me start out on Vista is not a "Complete" failure they did some really good things with it. Such as some security features. People just think its bad because some said it was bad. Its just a better GUI then XP and takes a bit more hardware to run vista. I personally believe from my vista use that its not a bad program. But its up to you to see the countless features that vista has to offer over XP (DX10) but if you don't like it then downgrade to XP -P.S Vista is not a rip off from Mac O.s X or some Crap like that .Technology1

Eventually it will get spoiled, but if it was repaired properly it takes 3-5 years (sometimes even longer) to go bad. Microsoft mice cause problems with vista. if you have a Microsoft mouse, disconnect it, get a logitech one.

Why is Microsoft trying to push Vista OS so desperately knowing that the OS is bad?
Because no one will buy it otherwise. Microsoft wants people to buy their product. Also, though Vista has some horrible flaws, there are some good things about it. "Vista is crap" and "Vista is perfect" are both wrong. True, it likely will not install on your XP machine and/or it could cause you to lose all your data and/or it will have random bugs, but if you get a pre-installed Vista machine you will get a chance to see all the features they ripped off of Mac OS X. And also your kind of question and my kind of answer (or really almost anything which address the issue, no matter how balanced or one-sided) is the kind that draws a flame war, something I want to avoid.
