Where is it leaking from? It could be as simple as a missing/loose oil plug or oil filter. Unfortunately it could also be a rear main seal. Some Chev v8's have an oil cooler line that connects near the oil filter. The "o-ring" in that connector often fails resulting in rapid oil loss.
TRY TURNING THE KEY OVER.
One way to know that a control arm bushing is bad on a Chevy Malibu is from the noises you will hear when you are driving. You will hear a clunking sound. The steering on the car will also not be as good as it once was. You could also experience drifting of the car as you drive.
I would be suspicious of the bulbs you're using.
To fix an oil leak in a 96 astro, first you need to find the leak. Clean the engine thoroughly at a car wash. Watch the engine daily for signs of the oil leak. Once the basic area is found then the process of fixing the leak can begin.
The interior bulbs on a 1999 Chevy Malibu are contained in a plastic fixture whose cover snaps open. Once inside the fixture, pop out the dead bulb and replace it with the appropriate replacement.
vacuum leak. my 95 Monte Carlo did it. once in a while it would race to 2500 rpm then settle down like normal. not easy to find , but a cheap fix.
my car smells like i have a petrol leak when i turn it on but have no leak underneath the car
It will be alot cheaper to go to a repair shop and have them scan it for codes than to guess and spend money on parts you do NOT need.
look for the leak once you find it you will know were the leak is have a great day =)
Push the brake pedal three times. Then turn the headlights on and off quickly. Fart once and then clap. Radio fixed!
It depends on the year of the car, what engine, and driving style. I have a 2006 Malibu with the v6, and on the highway, I have gottem 50-60 miles and still made to a station, and then in town made it 35 more miles then it died right in front of the station.
These lights have 2 different "lights" in each of them. This occurs frequently. Change out the bulb and everything will be working fine once again.
