Why would my john deere trs 21 snow thrower be getting clogged with snow after a few minutes into use after only 3 inches of snow?

If the snow is very wet this will surely clog the auger, if the belt is loose that drives the auger this will surely clog as well. This will happen especially to a single stage snow blower as they strain a lot more then a two stage thrower in wet snow conditions. It helps to spray Pam in to the housing before use, a nice coat, like a cake pan!
