To my understanding there was no problem to settle in Greece originally since the area is populated by locals [Pelasgos] that were living in the area more than 7.000 years ago [5.000 BC written sign in Dispilio' - Kastoria North Greece] and Petralona cave human remains with use of fire circa 750.000 to 250.000 years ago

People leave Greece because of over-population. With small farms, unirrigated in poor country, it was not possible to subdivide them amongst several sons, so a city-state had to try to take land from neighbouring cities.

Well it all depends on the country/area, for example Eastern Europe has a much lower migration rate than Western Europe, in fact, Eastern Europe's migration rate is negative (meaning more people are leaving the country than coming in). But some reasons for leaving such a place could be to go connect with your own culture. For example, say there is a Chinese Briton living in the United Kingdom, he may leave the country to go live in China and connect with his culture or to live with relatives. Another reason is for a job, many times whole families move out of the country to go to the place where the parent's job has moved. For example, say there is an Italian businessman working for an international company. His boss may say that he has to move to Canada for a promotion or something. A third example could be for a better life (this is common in Eastern Europe, but they will mostly move to Western Europe). Take a native Serbian for example. He does not make much money and wishes a better life for his family, so he may move to a country such as Canada, the United States, or Australia (since your question is based on leaving all of Europe, but it would probably be more common to move to a country such as Italy, Spain, or Germany).
