service engine soon is your car telling you that you have reached a pre set service interval. Check your owners manual for a list of these maintenance items.
because your oxygen senser's need replaced after you do that your light will go off and you will also get better mpg about 5 to 10 differant
The check engine light would illuminate.
first you would have to know what code or codes you have. engine stalling on this car is most likely a vacuum leak either hose or plenum leaking.
No.
Service required is the oil change reminder. Service engine soon would be the check engine light.
I have a 2001 Seville Cadillac that the service Engine soon light comes on after I happen to use certain fuels. It seems that ethanol type fuels are the worst. The light will go out after I put in a higher octane fuel. Not sure this is my complete problem but it always seems to go out in time. I keep wondering if there is some type of fuel additive I could add that would make the light go out faster.
Reasons the service engine light does not come on: The bulb is burned out. I would suspect this first. There is a wiring problem. The engine control module is bad.
That is one of many possible causes.
A Service Engine light and a Check Engine light have the same purpose - to alert the driver that a malfunction has been detected by a sensor(s). It would behoove you to take your vehicle to an auto parts store (AutoZone or similar) that does free scans and have the touble code(s) retrieved to find what made the light come on. Some manufacturers call it a Check Engine light and others call it a Service Engine light, but as mentioned above they serve the same pirpose. I don't think your vehicle would have it labeled both ways.
probably something was left unplugged. Go to auto zone and get the codes read for free and it should tell you what it is.
No it will not.
Could be a wiring issue or a completely different problem.
