Why would the SRS airbag light come on and stay on in a 2004 S40 A mechanic says the airbag needs to be changed you have only had this car for 3 months light came on last week?

What you need to do is take it to another garage that does diagnostics and ask the to read the airbag system if it comes up with airbag pre-tensioner they need to tighten it up under the seat and it should solve it if it comes up with that.
