If it stops blowing cold air then your clutch on the compressor is probably not any good, or it could be that you need to recharge your freon and lubricant
i had the same problem with my 90 ranger just suddenly cut off and won't start back or would start but ran awful it was the chassis ground broke
possible rollover senser under dash!
Blown fuse (compressor clutch) refrigerant leak
maybe the a/c needs to be recharged with freon
The engines in a 1989 Ford Ranger would take ( " regular " unleaded gasoline , 87 octane ) * 2.3 L four cylinder / 2.9 L , V6
Check your blend door for proper operatin. Check your ac gas level. make sure your condenser and orice tubes are not stopped up.
The most common problem would be a lack of the coolant in the A/C unit. The other would be a broken condenser.
If you are referring to the cabin circulating fan - check the fuse to see if it has blown. If not, I would suspect the fan speed switch has gone bad. Lastly - the possibility that the fan motor has failed.
also check that oil filter has not "blown out " or gasket is not seated properly Check that oil sending unit is not defective and blowing oil out of the top
i wouldn't. i would start by gauging up with a 16 or 14, let them heal then slowly go up. you could risk the chance of blowing out your ear.
Sprout would be a word for 'to shoot up suddenly'.
You will definitely need to recharge your air conditioning system when it stops blowing cool air. You should recharge the system at least once a year.
